NO SPOILERS or plot summaries. Recommendations included.HIGH LEVEL: Book 1 of a paranormal romance series: "Storm Lords." I'm a big fan of Ms. Harte's work in general and this was another satisfying read. Magic is elemental and used only sparingly. Although the Lords come from an alternate dimension, the story takes place in normal, modern Seattle. Romance not overwhelmed by sex. Plot basic, but still full of danger and challenge.
SEXUAL CONTENT: Steamy, but nothing outlandish. Satisfying sexual tension threaded throughout the book, punctuated by raw one-on-one encounters that are hot, heavy and desperate in their speed and intensity.
PLOT: Uncomplicated, but entertaining. Think of this as a "mini" boy's club set up. You have the 4 brothers making up the small "boy's club" and the story is only novella length with lighter atmosphere than many other series with similar plot devices. We're still saving the world, but it's an alternate universe and before our handsome siblings get to it, they have to find their true loves.
CHARACTERS: I was really drawn to Darius and Samantha. They were sexy and spunky. Imperfect enough to laugh at themselves, but strong enough to command respect. The dynamic with the brothers was classic- funny and sweet. All very endearing and certainly point to a fun little series.
BOTTOM LINE: Light, fun, sexy and worth reading.

6. Diane Duvall's new Darkness Dawns (Immortal Guardians) - immortal warriors protecting the world from evil vampires. Similar to Kenyon's series.
7. Marie Harte's Roane (Circe's Recruits 1)- para-erotica around genetically engineered shifters who bond through sexual connections
8. Moira Rogers' basic werewolf romance series: Cry Sanctuary: Book 1 of Red Rock Pass series
9. Moira Rogers' magically diverse romance series Crux: Southern Arcana, Book 1
10. Gena Showalter's The Darkest Night (Hqn) - sexy, demon-possessed immortals looking for true love in a world of hidden magical creatures.

I have to say that I was a little suprized by how sucked in to the book I got. With the inner debate about love and and coming to terms with each other feelings, Samantha and Darius make for an explosive couple.
I really enjoyed this book, although I would have liked the book to have been longer, Harte really gave these charecters personality fire.
It was ok, but the characters and story line held no depth. I guess if that's what you're looking for then it works.
Four brothers...identical..gorgeous...woo hoo!
Four storm Lord's who all came to earth to find their soul mates and to save their world. A good beginning to this series and although rushed a bit...am enjoying the characters.
Reasonably developed characters in a novella length romance. Magic system based on the 4 elements. Fairly standard plotline. Four royal brothers need to save their kingdom by finding their destined mates on Earth which is in a different dimension from theirs.
I really liked this book. Sign me, I want a Storm Lord too! The story line flowed well and the characters are very believable. There is drama, adventure, sex and love. Really enjoyed it and look forward to more of the series.
